Veterans Kick-Off Second Season!

It was a successful start to our second season for the Harrogate & District Veterans 11-a-side League on Sunday.

Leading the way in the Premier League are Wetherby Athletic Vets and Ilkley Town Vets. Both teams scored 3-0 wins over Boroughbridge and Killinghall respectively. Also gaining full points was Thorpe United Vets who defeated York Corinthians 2-1.

The Championship saw newcomers Kirk Deighton Rangers Vets jump to the top following a 3-0 win over Thirsk Veterans FC. The clean sheet sees them on top with a better goal difference over Garforth Villa Vets, who defeated Aberford Albion Vets 3-1. The other game played saw Amaranth Manstonians draw 2-2 with Kirkby Malzeard AFC.

With the second set of games due to be played on the 24th September, there is still time for you to get your team entered. We have plenty of quality teams to play against and with two divisions, the excitement of promotion and relegation means it’s all to play for!

Games are mainly played on the superb state-of-the-art venue at The CNG Stadium (home of Harrogate Town AFC) but they can also be played on your home ground (as long as it passes our inspection).
