Football Mundial To Help SASH Charity Tournament.

We are very pleased to announce that we will be assisting in the forthcoming SASH 6-a-side charity tournament that they are running at York Sports Village.

The business to business 6-a-side charity tournament will take place on the 11th September between 10am – 4pm and as well as football, there will be food, bouncy castles, face painting, free swimming passes for players kids and even an inflatable human football table. The winning team will receive a trophy presented by one of our young people.

SASH are a York based charity that work to prevent vulnerable 16-25 year olds from facing homelessness by offering them a room in the home of a volunteer host across York, North Yorkshire and East Yorkshire. We aim to ensure that each young person’s first experience of homelessness is their last and that any underlying issues are resolved. In 2015-16 we provided 1357 nights of emergency accommodation to just under 400 young people.

Football mundial are very pleased to be providing all the balls and referees for this fantastic event and would like to throw open SASH’s invitation to play to our teams. Already, we have seen one of our York league teams agree to sign up. There is no entry fee as such, all SASH ask is that each team makes a donation of £100.00.

Commenting on our involvement, Head of Media Communication Pete Arnett said “This is a great idea and we are very pleased to be able to help in some way. We hope that SASH get a lot of teams playing and if any business sides from football mundial want to have a go then please contact them.”
