Super Sunday In Our Veterans League.
We have some great matches in store that you don’t want to miss in this Sunday in our Harrogate & District Veterans 11-a-side League.
Our Premier Division sees Harrogate Veterans looking to maintain their complete dominance by beating Garforth Villa Vets to notch up their nine-straight victory from nine games, however knowing Garforth, they will not make life easy for them and Harrogate will have to work for the points!
Another mouthwatering match takes place at the bottom of the table where York Corinthians will be looking to move themselves off the foot of the league and leapfrog several teams if they can beat Ilkley Town Vets. However, you can guarantee that Ilkley, who who reside one place above them, will be harbouring exactly the same idea!
Other matches taking place are Wetherby Athletic Veterans v Thorpe United Veterans and Sherburn White Rose Veterans who will be wanting to beat Aberford Albion Veterans to keep pace with the leaders.
The action is as great in the Championship Division as current leaders Thirsk Veterans welcome second placed Harrogate Veterans Over 50’s. A win over there nearest rivals will almost see Thirsk close their grip on the title dramatically, however Harrogate will be going all out to make sure that that does not happen!
Barwick Veterans will also be looking to put themselves into contention, but they need to overcome the tricky challenge that Knaresborough Celtic Veterans will pose.
The other two games see Kirkby Malzeard Veterans take on Kirk Deighton Veterans, whilst Otley Town Veterans play Amaranth Veterans.
