Wednesday Review.
Epsom Review.
The league has only just started in Epsom and we have four teams all setting the pace with six points each. At the top Mitchell G enjoyed a delicious 4-0 win over Tasty FC, which leaves Tasty with a sour feeling as they are now bottom of the league.
Second placed Notinyourmums Forest also enjoyed a decent scoreline as they overcame the challenge of Rapid Delight by the score of 4-2.
Farcelona FC crashed 6-2 against Crusaders, but even that scoreline wasn’t enough to shift Farcelona from third spot, although Crusaders are now right behind them in fourth spot.
The final match saw Sporting Lesbians record their first win of the season when they inflicted the first defeat of the season to Chessington with a 5-2 win.
Winchester Review.
It was all change at the top of the Winchester Wednesday League when former leaders The MOB FC suffered a 2-0 defeat at the hands of 4th placed Hundy P FC.
The MOB’s shock defeat allowed Mustangs to take advantage and they did it in style beating Hundy P FC Reserves 3-0. The win now means that it is the Mustangs who sit on top of the league by a single point.
ABM Wanderers were hoping to put a bit more distance between them and Gammy FC, but in the end a 1-1 draw meant that they could only maintain their original five point gap.
Bottom of the table Dynamo Anchor were subjected to a bit of a rough ride against Phoenix FC as the mythical bird swept in five goals without reply. The win lifted Phoenix into third place and sent a warning to the top two that things may not be as cut and dried as they had hoped.
Bath Review.
Inter Milager remain top of the league following their 6-0 whooping of Silver Shadows. The win not only means that they remain 4 points clear of Racing Headers but also means that are still undefeated.
Speaking of the Racing Headers, they also enjoyed a fine win as they easily overcame Woodies Wanderers 4-0. Like Inter, Racing are also unbeaten this season.
Bottom placed Green Rocket misfired again, this time losing 3-0 against Buro Happold, however there is still plenty of football left for the Rockets to fire themselves up the table!
The last match placed saw The Barley Mohicans take 3rd place when they beat Men Behaving Chadli 3-0.
The Championship saw Inter Milager Top remain top of their league with a 3-0 win over 6th place Wanyamas in Pyjamas.
Dynamo Chicken Kiev kept within touching distance of Inter with a 2-0 win over The Barley Mohicans Reserves. The defeat saw Kiev leapfrog over the Mohicans and into 2nd spot.
INACYAC picked up their second win of the season with a good 6-3 win over Bath United. The defeat was United’s fifth in a row and leaves them at the bottom of the league.
In the final game, The Hurricanes could only manage a 1-1 draw with Class on Fake Grass, although the point did lift them above Wanyamas.
Harrogate Review.
It’s FC United and Panic at the Isco who lead the way in the Harrogate Wednesday Night League. FC United secured top spot with an 8-0 thumping of Chat Shittu get banged (could it be that they did and they did!!). Behind them, by virtue of a single goal’s difference, is Panic at the Isco who beat LSD Eindhoven 4-0.
Third space belongs to Roys Boys who also had a high scoring win, beating bottom club Worldpay FC 6-1.
MOT passed their test with a solid 3-0 win against 5th placed Neville Wears Prada. The MOT’s first win was enough to see them climb into 4th place.
Next week sees 1st take on 2nd, could someone’s unbeaten start be about to end – find out in our review!
Hastings Review.
It’s a close league in Hastings as just three points separate the top four!
At the summit is Club-Clean Athletic with 21 points, but they needed a 4-1 win over 6th placed Shiplu Blues to get there.
Athletic were also helped when previous owners of the top spot Colonel Getafe suffered a surprise 5-2 defeat to 4th placed Ladzio City.
Third placed Fusion maintained their challenge with a 3-1 victory over second from bottom Tugdogs.
The final match played in the Premier League saw The Geri-Hatricks run out 3-0 winners over Young Allstars to maintain their 5th place.
Championship action saw league leaders Triangle Warriors secure all the points with a 2-0 win over St Savious Massive.
Hot on the Warriors tails however is The Hazbins, who blitzed 4th placed Belmont United 7-1 to stay just one point behind the leaders.
Mike Hunts lost some ground on the top two following a narrow 1-0 defeat to How I met your Mata. The win lifted Mata off the bottom and saw the St George Globetrotters planted firmly at the foot of the league following their 3-0 defeat to Didgeridoo’s.
In their second match, Belmont United were handed a 3-0 win, which at least made up for the 7-1 defeat they suffered earlier.
The final action at 9pm saw The Hazbins record their second win of the night with a 3-0 victory over Perthetico Madrid.
Wickersley Review.
Ale Madrid kept up their fine unbeaten record when they scored their twelve win in a row to lead the Wickersley league by 12 points. Second placed 2 Girls 1 Schlupp were the latest team to fall at their feet when they lost 7-1.
It would seem that the number 7 enjoys haunting 2 Girls 1 Schlupp as they also shipped the same amount in a 7-2 defeat to CCFC later on in the evening.
Bassetts Allsorts (which coincidently are my favourite sweets!) recorded a 3-0 win over Who ate all Depay to leave themselves 5th in the league and Depay second from bottom.
Ched FC kept their grip on third place (by goal difference) with a 2-0 win over Inter Mi Sister.
