York Titles Decided And League Expansion Planned!

It’s Lads On Toure who lifted the York Sport Village Tuesday Night Premier League Trophy last night.

A great campaign saw a right ding dong battle throughout the season with Lads On Toure and FC Guppys scraping it out right until the end. However, they were also looking over their shoulders at the challenge of BBA FC and Darfulser FC.

It was a bit more cut and dry in the Championship where honours went to FC City Of York Cosmos Reserves. Cosmos won the league with an unbeaten record and by a margin of 8 points.

Well done to all the 14 teams that took part.

With the Cup Finals next week, we are gearing up for the new season starting on the 22nd March and it promises to be even bigger and better as we will be expanding to 16 teams, which means two leagues of eight for the Spring/Summer season.

So don’t delay, get those applications in today, League Secretary Jon Sykes will get all the paperwork out of the way and allow you to concentrate on management of your team.

Matches are played at York Sport Village and with weekly match fees set at just £28.00 (which breaks down to £3.11 per player per week – based on a squad of 9) 6-a-side football has never been so cheap.
