Special Shout Out To The Cosmos.

Once in a why there comes a team who enjoy their 6-a-side football so much, that they enter a second team, but FC City of York Cosmos went beyond that when they entered a third team into our York Sports Village.

Playing in the Premier League is their first team and their reserves whilst the Veterans (or the Legends as us older folks in the office like to call them!) ply their trade in the Championship.

All three teams have had pretty good leagues seasons with the first claiming 2nd place, the reserves nabbing 4th and the Veterans (Legends) coming 3rd in the Championship.

Of course with four mini leagues in the cup, we had hoped that all three of them may have progressed into the knockout phases, but the mains and the Veterans (Legends) were paired in group D and in the end, the mains won the group whilst the Veterans (Legends) finished, ahem, bottom – awkward! However, the mains will be joined by the reserves as they also qualified.

We are very pleased that all three teams have agreed to sign up for yet another season and we hope that they enjoy it just as much as they have all done in the past.
