Well Done To the Flames Of Harrogate!
It’s a big ole round of congratulations to CNG Flames of the Harrogate Wednesday Night League. Not only did they take the top spot in the league with 40 points, but they managed to do it unbeaten all season as well. Only 1 draw out of 14 matches prevented them from going all season without dropping points.
We also have to say well done to Baines On Toast who grabbed second place with a very creditable 33 points and also to Myrings who finished bottom but never gave up trying and despite losing 13 of the 14 matches that they played, they did manage to record one victory. It’s never easy to come bottom, but they played the game in the right way and never complained.
With the Cup Finals to be played next week, all eyes will turn to the Flames to see if they can land the double, but Club Tropicana, Baines On Toast and FC Tewit will also be looking to extinguish the Flames (getit!!) and pick up the trophy for themselves.
Whatever happens, we wish all four teams the best of luck.
