In The Spotlight - Hampton

This weeks In The Spotlight article features our Hampton 6-a-side league which plays on a Monday at Hampton Sport & Fitness Centre.

The first to say about this league is the fantastic value for money that it represents. Prices have recently been slashed from £32.00 per week to an amazing £28.00 (which works out to just £3.11 per player, per week – based on a team of 9). So far so good! It gets even better when we casually drop into the conversation that these prices mean we are the cheapest in the area!

The league itself is proving to be of very high standard and with teams traveling to play from the surrounding areas of Feltham, Twickenham, Sunbury, Hanworth, Ashford and Hounslow, it’s not hard to see why.

At present, all eyes are on Away Days who lead the division by a single point over nearest challengers ABCDE FC. Things are looking rosier for ABCDE FC as they have played two games less, but can they make them count?

It’s equally as tight at the bottom with four teams all battling to avoid being the ones that prop the entire league up.

Watching over this league and making sure that everything runs smoothly is secretary Tom McDonough, and so far he is very impressed with what he has seen.

We still have more spaces that can be filled in this league and the more teams that join, the more that we can offer with the formation of new divisions and the excitement that relegation and promotion brings into the mix.
