Final Day Drama Sees Bells Ring In York Success!

It went right down to the wire but after all the games were played, standing proudly at the top of the York Huntington School Thursday 6-a-side table were Six Rusty Bells, but they were made to work for it!

With just four points separating the top four in the league, Finding Mido struck first with a 3-0 win over Raggy Rovers to tie the league on points meaning that the Bells needed to chime up a victory in one of their two remaining games! Fortunately for them a 1-0 win over The Juggies was enough to secure the title, which was just as well as they lost their final match 1-0 to Ringers Return.

So congratulations go to Six Rusy Bells but also well played must be said to Finding Mido, The Juggies and Ringers Return who finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th and provided another great season in York.

This just leaves the Cup Finals to be played next week and eight teams will be playing for the right to hold the trophy aloft at the end of the night. All at Mundial House would like to say good luck to:

  • The Juggies
  • Ringers Return
  • Swanventus
  • Madjaba
  • Snowhome
  • Finding Mido
  • Yearsley
  • Gamestation
